Moment 04:03
I’ll stiff my back; I’ll leave this town; I’ll lift my axe to tear it down, The moment you call me. I can’t explain, the winds fell still; the rudder slowed; I lost my will, the moment you called me. The ladder’s long, the rung’s go on, but if this is how then I’ll climb on, I can’t now sing the unsung song, but now I know now hopefully it won’t be long until the moment you call me.

Time Burier 04:44
The only lady that I knew, she caught me in her tide with her ruby leather net. She taught me what I could not see and held me down to it and let me leave a separate heart from the one I'd thrown up Because she knew something more; I can't ignore. No one can say what they would do If they'd only known I'd like to say that I took my time, but I held it out to the bidder in line and now I'm not so sure I'd call what I'd been living a life as my own. And though the time is spent I'd like to settle down in the grassy heart of the lioness' love and I will run, run, run to that place where I had buried my youth And though I knew I'd see it tumble down I swear I saw my face on the lightning that burnt the ground. And all my friends, they saw it coming all along; didn't have the courage to snuff out the doubt. And though I'd seen it all before, knew I wasn't gonna take it no more.

Bade To Ride 02:24
I climb on my horse and settle her down, scratch her ears and take a good look around. No one to hurry me and my majesty. Come and see how we have gracefully grayed, holding gaze like it is our only day you have promised me; how could I ask for more than to be? Still some days I cannot bear the saddle’s brown, though it’s the only thing that’s really around; I pull myself inside, but she just keeps bidding me to ride.

about

Britt White Portland, Oregon

Britt uses her piano, voice and otherworldly instrumentation to compose pieces about addiction, repression, religion, and more religion. She has a lot to say and a deceptively lovely voice to say it with.
